- How do you play Quad Splash?
- Tap a cell to spend 1 drop and inject water into it. A level 4 droplet bursts when you inject again, firing one splash in each of the four directions. Splashes level up the droplets they hit and vanish when they leave the board. Fling enough water off the board to clear it and a new random board appears. The full version is on the how to play page.
- Do I need to download or sign up?
- No. Quad Splash is a pure front-end browser game. Open the page and play. Your high score and settings are stored in your own browser, so no account is ever needed.
- Is Quad Splash free?
- Yes — completely free, in any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop. The site is supported by advertising.
- What happens when I clear a board?
- A fresh random board takes its place immediately, you receive 3 bonus drops, and your score keeps adding up. Nothing resets between boards.
- What do I do when I run out of drops?
- Two things help. Clearing a board instantly rewards 3 drops and swaps in a new board. And you can recycle: if one tap flings 12 or more drops off the board, you get 1 drop back, up to 2 per board. Players who recycle regularly last many boards longer — see tips and tricks.
- When does a run end?
- There is no level cap. A run ends only when your drops reach zero and droplets are still on the board.
- How is the score calculated?
- Every burst scores, and longer chains are worth more per burst than the same number of isolated bursts. Clearing a board also pays a bonus based on how many boards you have cleared and how many drops you had left, so finishing a board quickly is worth more than grinding.
- Why does the board cost more taps later on?
- Later boards are packed with more and larger droplets, so clearing one takes more taps. That rising cost is what eventually ends a run — which is why banking score early matters.
- Can I play on my phone?
- Yes. On narrow screens the board sits on top and the drop jar and status move below it. Just touch a cell to play.
- How do I turn the sound off?
- Tap the sound button in the top right corner of the game. The setting is remembered on your device.
- Why did my high score disappear?
- Progress is stored only in the browser of the device you played on. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or switching device or browser starts you from zero — and because there is no account, it cannot be recovered or transferred.
- How do I change the language?
- Use the language menu in the top bar. Quad Splash supports 25 languages, each on its own page address, so you can share the game in whichever language you want.
